An Evening of Exploration and Discovery
How did the universe begin? What does modern science tell us about the cosmos? Can
faith and scientific discovery enrich one another?
These fascinating questions will be explored at Creation and the Cosmos, an engaging
evening of talks and discussion at
Weybourne Village Hall on Monday 24 August at 7.00pm.
The evening will feature two speakers bringing complementary perspectives to one of
humanity’s oldest and most profound questions. Dr Richard Beare will explore
the scientific understanding of the universe, while Rev Ian Dyble will reflect
on the biblical and theological themes of creation, considering how Christian
faith relates to contemporary scientific knowledge.
Dr Richard Beare, PhD in Astrophysics from Monash University in Australia,
a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and currently tutor on two university astronomy courses.
